On the 3rd of May, Rev.01 proudly participated in Havens' 'Play on the Pitch' 10th anniversary event, where Southend Business Professionals faced off against Barclays Bank at the historic home of Southend United, Roots Hall.
Our Head of Creative, James Higgs, lined up for the Southend Business Professionals, joining forces with players from BTMK Solicitors, Able Group, OneHub Southend, and many more. Despite a hard-fought battle ending in a 3-1 defeat, the match garnered immense support and recorded the highest fundraising total ever for a Play on the Pitch event.
"It's a privilege to be able to play at Roots Hall. I've been coming here since a very young age to watch Southend United with my family. It's an even greater privilege to play football to help Havens raise funds to support the vital work that they do," said James Higgs of Rev.01.
A huge congratulations to everyone involved, especially those who work tirelessly for Havens to ensure that people receive the best end-of-life care possible and provide essential support to their families and loved ones.
Reflecting on the match, James added, "I think we were unlucky not to get a result, but it was a good match. Both teams played with great spirit, and the support from everyone was fantastic. I hope I'm lucky enough and fit enough to play again next year; we'll definitely be seeking a bit of redemption."
